The Song of Praise.

“Listen, you kings!
Pay attention, you rulers!
I will sing, I will play music to Israel’s God, the Lord.
Lord, when you left the mountains of Seir,
When you came out of the region of Edom,
The earth shook, and rain fell from the sky.
Yes, water poured down from the clouds.
The mountains quaked before the Lord of Sinai,
Before the Lord, the God of Israel.”
Judges 5:3-5

God Commands

“I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will always be with you; I will never abandon you. Be determined and confident, for you will be the leader of these people as they occupy this land which I promised their ancestors. Just be determined and confident. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for I, The Lord, your God, am with you wherever you go.”

Today the lord has accepted you as his own people, as he promised you; and he commands you to obey all his laws. He will make you greater than any other nation that he has created, and you will bring praise and honour to his name. You will be his own people as he promised.”

Blessings for Obedience

“If you live according to my laws and obey my commands, I will send you rain at the right time, so that the land will produce crops and the trees will bear fruit. Your crops will be so plentiful that you will still be harvesting corn when it is time to pick grapes, and you will still be picking grapes when it is time to sow corn. You will have all that you want to eat, and you will live in safety in your land.”

The Song of Moses

I will sing to the Lord, because he has won a glorious victory; He has thrown the horses and their riders into the sea.
The LORD is my strong defender; he is the one who has saved me. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God and will sing about his greatness."

The Wickedness of Mankind

When the Lord saw how wicked everyone on the earth was and how evil their thoughts were all the time, He was sorry that he had ever made them and put them on the earth. He was so filled with regret that he said, “I will wipe out these people I have created, and also the animals and birds, because I am sorry that I made any of them.” But the Lord was pleased with Noah.
