The Armor of God.

Illustration of the armor of God from Ephesians 6, including belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, and shield of faith"

Ephesians 6:10-17 is Paul's famous "armor of God" passage.

Paul urges believers to draw strength from God, because the real fight isn't against people but against spiritual forces of evil. He tells them to put on the full armor of God so they can stand firm against these attacks.

Belt of truth should  be worn at the waist, holding everything together.

Breastplate of righteousness for protecting the heart.

Shoes of the gospel of peace for readiness and firm footing.

Shield of faith  to block "flaming arrows" which  may be temptations, doubts and  attacks.

Helmet of salvation  protecting the mind.

Sword of the Spirit  described as the word of God.

Pray at all times, in the Spirit, staying alert.

The battle is spiritual, not human.

Paul frames the struggle as being against "rulers," "authorities," and "spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" not against other people. This reframes conflict and hardship as something deeper than interpersonal disputes.

Armor is defensive, sword is offensive. Most pieces (belt, breastplate, shoes, shield, helmet) protect the wearer. Only the sword is a weapon  and it's tied specifically to Scripture.

Stand firm and protect yourself, but also engage.

Each piece maps to a virtue. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the word of God aren't just abstract ideas  they're framed as practical tools for resisting deception, fear, and doubt.

Roman soldier imagery. Paul was likely under house arrest guarded by Roman soldiers when he wrote this (in Ephesians), so the armor imagery would have been vivid and immediate to his original readers.

"Stand firm" is the refrain. The passage repeats variations of standing firm/withstanding several times  it's about endurance and readiness, not necessarily offense-driven conquest.

The Armor of God. (Ephesians 6 : 10 -17 )

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Be a witness to the Light.

An illustration of John the Baptist pointing people toward Jesus Christ, who is the true light.

John 1:7

"He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe"

This verse refers to John the Baptist pointing people toward Jesus Christ, who is the true light.

“Be a witness to the Light.”

John did not claim to be the Light himself. His purpose was to point people toward Jesus Christ, the true Light.

This teaches us three important things:

1. Our life can testify about Christ.

We can show His love, kindness, forgiveness, and truth through our words and actions.

2. We are called to lead others to Jesus.

John’s mission was not to draw attention to himself but to help people believe in Christ.

3. Faith grows through witnessing.

A sincere testimony can encourage others to seek God and place their trust in Him.

We may not be the Light, but we can reflect the Light. Like John, our words, character, and actions should point others toward Jesus.

The Importance of Morning Walk.

Two women walking together outdoors in the morning, smiling and talking.

Morning Walk - A Renewal of Your Energy.

Morning walk is a simplest and most pleasurable ways to begin your day. It requires no expensive machines or special training, Yet it can provide important benefits for both physical and mental well-being. Regular physical activity, including brisk walking, can improve heart health, sleep, mood, and overall fitness.

Benefits of a Morning Walk

1. Improves Heart Health.

Walking regularly makes the heart work more efficiently and can help reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Moderate physical activity can also help lower blood pressure and improve cholesterol levels.

2. Helps Maintain a Healthy Weight

Walking uses energy and, when combined with a balanced diet, can help maintain a healthy body weight. It is an accessible form of exercise that can easily become part of a daily routine.

3. Reduces Stress and Improves Mood

A peaceful morning walk can provide time to clear the mind and enjoy the surroundings. Physical activity can reduce feelings of anxiety and may lower the risk of depression.

4. Supports Better Sleep

Regular physical activity can improve sleep quality. Starting the day with a walk can also establish a healthy daily routine and encourage an active lifestyle.

5. Strengthens Muscles and Bones

Walking helps keep the muscles and bones active and supports physical function. For older adults, regular physical activity can also improve balance and reduce the risk of falls.

6. Helps Prevent Lifestyle Diseases

Regular physical activity can reduce the risk of conditions such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease and stroke.

How to Make Morning Walking a Habit

Start with a comfortable pace and gradually increase the duration and speed. For adults, general guidelines recommend at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity per week, which can be achieved through activities such as brisk walking. Even smaller amounts of physical activity are better than none.

Wear comfortable footwear, choose a safe walking route, stay hydrated when necessary, and listen to your body. If you have a medical condition or are unsure about what level of exercise is appropriate for you, consult a healthcare professional.

A morning walk is a simple habit with many potential benefits. It can strengthen the body, support heart health, improve mood and sleep, and help maintain an active lifestyle. The most important thing is not walking a particular number of steps, but being consistent. A few minutes of walking each day can be a good beginning, and the duration can gradually be increased.

A healthy morning can be the first step toward a healthier life.

The Rhapsody Dolphins At British Columbia.

The Rhapsody Dolphins:
The Rhapsody Dolphins:

The Rhapsody Dolphins:

Kelowna's Iconic Waterfront Sculpture.

Along Kelowna's waterfront,  one can see the city's most photographed landmark: a striking sculpture of three dolphins frozen mid-leap, spraying water into a fountain along the shores of Okanagan Lake. Officially titled Rhapsody, this monumental piece has become synonymous with Kelowna itself.

The Sculpture.

It is 20 feet tall and a 45-foot diameter pond, surrounds it. Rhapsody Dolphins serves as a focal point of Kelowna's waterfront.

The gleaming white fiberglass dolphins appear to leap and play together in the fountain, capturing a sense of happiness and movement that has made the piece an enduring symbol of both travel and curiosity.

The statue is at the entrance to Waterfront Park,  making it one of the first things visitors watch  when they arrive at this popular lakeside destination.

The Artist Behind the Work.

The sculpture was created by Robert Dow Reid He was  a Scottish-born artist who has always drawn inspiration from the ocean aquatic life.

Reid's grandfather was a sea captain, and the artist himself spent time on whaling vessels in the 1940s and 1950s before meeting his wife Isobel in 1956.

The couple immigrated to Canada in 1958, and Reid's family has called Kelowna home since 1964.

That maritime background shows clearly in his work. Reid's sculptures have a distinctive, smooth style often featuring birds and sea creatures, drawn from his years on the ocean.

He reportedly has a soft spot for his dolphin subjects, once noting their sociable nature mirrors our own.

Beyond Kelowna, Reid has created large-scale sculptural installations in Vancouver, Surrey, Regina, and Kelowna's sister city of Kasugai, Japan.

He also works on a smaller scale using rare materials like antique ivory, teak, and honey onyx.

Refresh And Relax - Reduce Your Mental Overload.

An illustration of people spending a few minutes in prayer and meditation,

How to Relax one's mind?

Relaxing your mind is often about reducing mental overload and helping your body shift into a calmer state. Here are some methods that many people find helpful:

Practice slow breathing – Breathe in through your nose for 4 seconds, exhale slowly for 6–8 seconds. Repeat for 5–10 minutes.

Take a walk – Even a 10–20 minute walk, especially in a quiet or green area, can reduce stress.

Listen to calming music – Instrumental music, nature sounds, or soft devotional music can help settle the mind.

Pray or meditate – Spending a few minutes in prayer, meditation, or quiet reflection can bring a sense of peace.

Limit screen time – Taking breaks from phones, social media, and constant news can reduce mental fatigue.

Write down your thoughts – Journaling worries or making a simple to-do list can help clear your mind.

Stretch gently – Light stretching or yoga can ease physical tension that often accompanies stress.

Get enough sleep – Aim for a regular sleep schedule and avoid caffeine late in the day.

Talk to someone you trust – Sharing your concerns with a friend or family member can lighten the mental burden.

Spend time doing something enjoyable – Reading, gardening, cooking, drawing, or any hobby you enjoy can refresh your mind.

The Art of Not Catching Someone Else's Bad Mood.

Illustration representing staying calm and unaffected by others' negativity.

In our daily life we often meet people who talk negatively and make our best moments miserable. How can we tackle this in a positive way?

Don't try to fix their mood. Jumping in with "just think positive!" usually backfires — it can feel dismissive. Instead, acknowledge what they're saying ("that sounds frustrating") without agreeing to spiral with them.

Set a boundary on how much you absorb. You can be supportive without becoming the dumping ground for every complaint. It's okay to say "I hear you, but I don't have the bandwidth to go deep on this right now."

Ask what they actually want. Sometimes people venting just want to be heard, not advised. Asking "do you want me to just listen, or help problem-solve?" saves you both frustration.

Limit exposure if it's chronic. If someone is consistently negative in a way that drains you, it's reasonable to reduce time spent with them, or steer conversations toward neutral or lighter topics.

Model calm, don't lecture. Staying steady yourself is more persuasive than telling them to change. People often adjust their tone when the person across from them isn't matching the intensity.

Separate the person from the pattern. Someone going through a hard time and venting occasionally is different from someone whose default mode is complaint or criticism — the second usually needs firmer boundaries, not more patience.

The Importance of Positive Thinking.

Illustration representing a woman staying positive and active.

Positive thinking isn't about ignoring reality. It's about how you interpret and respond to it. A few real benefits:

Better problem-solving.

Optimism tends to keep your focus on solutions rather than getting stuck on what's wrong.

Resilience under stress.

People with a positive outlook tend to bounce back faster from setbacks, they treat failures as temporary rather than permanent.

Physical health links.

Research has associated optimism with lower rates of cardiovascular disease and even longer lifespan, likely partly through healthier habits and lower chronic stress.

Stronger relationships.

People generally gravitate toward others who bring energy and hope rather than constant negativity.

More willingness to take chances.

If you expect things might work out, you're more likely to try; which itself increases your odds of success.

One caveat worth naming:

There's a difference between genuine positive thinking and toxic positivity forcing a cheerful spin on things that are actually bad, or dismissing real problems and emotions. The useful version is more like realistic optimism: acknowledging what's hard while still believing you can handle it or improve it.

Sunrise in Kadapa.

The Beauty of Sunrise.
Have you ever watched the beauty of sunrise?

There is a quiet magic in the moment before the world wakes. It is quite amazing! The sky, still soft with sleep, begins to blush  pale gold bleeding into rose, rose deepening into amber.

It happens slowly, as if the sun itself is gentle with the earth, unwilling to startle it awake. Slowly slowly lights change, clouds also changing colours, some vanish.

Birds are usually the first to notice. Their songs rise before the light does, a kind of applause for something not yet seen.

Then, almost shyly, the sun lifts itself above the horizon , a single spark that soon becomes fire, spilling color across rooftops, treetops, and still water.

A sunrise asks for nothing. It doesn't wait for applause or attention, yet it gives itself fully each morning, reminding us that beginnings are always possible, that darkness is never permanent, and that light  however delayed  always returns.

To watch a sunrise is to witness hope in its purest form. It proves, even the darkest nights will end.

Walk With God In Righteousness.

Imaginary illustration of Noah walking faithfully with God

The Lord then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.

Genesis 7:1

Why did the LORD say this to Noah?

The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. 6 The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. 7 So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.

Genesis 6: 5-8

Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.

(Genesis 6:9)

11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. 13 So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. 14 So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out.

Genesis 6: 11-14

I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish. 18 But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you. 19 You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you. 20 Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive. 21 You are to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as food for you and for them.”

22 Noah did everything just as God commanded him.

Genesis 6: 17-22

Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.

Genesis 7:7

21 Every living thing that moved on land perished—birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind.

Genesis 7:21

Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.

Genesis 7:23

The world today is also filled with corruption, violence, wars, terrorism and wickedness of mankind.

The every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart is only evil.

The Lord's heart is  deeply troubled now too.

The end of this world is near.

Do you want to get favour in the eyes of the Lord?

Be righteous and blameless like Noah.

Walk faithfully with God.

Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand.

Illustration of Jesus feeding the five thousand with five loaves and two fish

Rely on God's provision rather than your limited human resources. The gathering of exactly twelve baskets of leftover food signifies abundance. Jesus' provision is more than enough.

Luke 9:10-17

Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand.

10 When the apostles returned, they reported to Jesus what they had done. Then he took them with him and they withdrew by themselves to a town called Bethsaida, 11 but the crowds learned about it and followed him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing.

12 Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said, “Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here.”

13 He replied, “You give them something to eat.”

They answered, “We have only five loaves of bread and two fish—unless we go and buy food for all this crowd.” 14 (About five thousand men were there.)

But he said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.” 15 The disciples did so, and everyone sat down. 16 Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people. 17 They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.

The Science of Colours Before Sunrise.

Sky glowing with soft orange and pink light just before sunrise over the horizon

Have you ever observed the sky just before sunrise?

The Science Behind the Sky's most beautiful hour
long before the sun clears the horizon, the sky puts on a show few people are awake to see ;
a slow shift from black to blue to gold. It isn't magic, it's physics.

As the sun climbs from 18° below the horizon toward sunrise, the sky moves through three twilight stages, each brighter than the last, culminating in the vivid oranges and pinks of civil twilight.

Those colors come from Rayleigh scattering. Sunlight contains every color, but gas molecules in the atmosphere scatter shorter wavelengths (blue) more than longer ones (red, orange).

Before sunrise, light travels through much more atmosphere at a low angle, scattering away nearly all the blue and leaving the warm colors behind.
High clouds can amplify the effect, reflecting that low-angle light like a screen, while cooler,

Sky Before Sunrise at Kadappa, Andhrapradesh.

Pre-dawn sky over Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, glowing with soft colors before sunrise

Sky glowing with soft early morning light just before sunrise

The Hour Before Light. View from Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh.

There is a moment, before the sun dares to rise,  so beautiful, when the sky forgets what color it should be.

Night has not quite let go. Day has not quite arrived. And in that hush between them, the horizon turns to soft indigo, then blushes into rose and amber, as if the world were waking slowly on purpose, unwilling to rush something so fragile.

Birds sense it first. Their small, uncertain songs stitch themselves into the silence, a rehearsal before the world remembers to be loud.

The air is cool and unclaimed. It carries no noise yet, no hurry ; only the quiet suggestion that something vast is about to begin.

This is the sky before sunrise: not day, not night, but a threshold. A breath held between what was and what will be.

And for a few minutes, everything  the clouds, the light, the waiting earth seems to agree that beauty needs no audience to be real.

372.Be Confident inThe Lord!

An illustration of the image of Jesus Christ.

Proverbs 3:26  "For the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught."

The Lord will be your confidence": True security and boldness do not come from personal achievements, status, or self-reliance. Instead, placing one's trust in God provides a firm foundation and peace of mind, especially when facing unexpected fears or challenges.

And will keep your foot from being caught": This metaphor speaks of divine protection. Just as a traveler is kept safe from traps or dangerous terrain, God guides the steps of those who follow His wisdom, ensuring they are not led into spiritual or moral ruin.

Be confident! The LORD is your guide, caretaker and protector.

The LORD is your Redeemer.

Follow the Redeemer!

The Faith will give you Reward.

Illustration of a Canaanite woman near Jesus, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me!

Matthew 15:21-28

The Faith of a Canaanite Woman.

"21Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.”

23 Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”

24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

25 The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said.

26 He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

27 “Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”

28 Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.

Jesus initially responds with silence, and then tells her His earthly mission is only for the "lost sheep of Israel.

The woman shows incredible humility and faith.

Her great faith leads to the healing of her daughter instantly.

God’s salvation and grace  are available to anyone who seeks Him.

God's salvation is ultimately for everyone.

Be faithful! The LORD will bless you forever!

Jesus Transforms Your Life.

Illustration of the miraculous catch of fish from Luke 5, depicting Jesus and the fishermen at the Sea of Galilee

Luke 5:1-11

"5 One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God. 2 He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. 3 He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.

4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”

5 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”

6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. 7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” 9 For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, 10 and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners.

Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.” 11 So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him."

The Lake of Gennesaret, also known as the Sea of Galilee or the Sea of Tiberias witnesses a great transformation of some fishermen.

Simon was awestruck at this miracle. He realized his own insignificance in comparison to this man's greatness.

Peter knew that Jesus had healed he sick and driven out demons but he was amazed that Jesus cared about his day-to-day routine and understood his needs.

God is interested not only in saving us,but also in helping us in our daily activities.

Like Peter we must recognise our own sinfulness.

We must realise that we can't save ourselves. Jesus is the only one who can help us,we will be ready to leave everything and follow him.

We must leave our past behind and commit our future to him.

Recognise God's Power.

An illustration of the commander of the army of the Lord standing in front of Joshua.

Joshua 5:13-15

"Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?”

“Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, “What message does my Lord have for his servant?”

The commander of the  Lord’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so."

This was an angel of superior rank, the commander of the Lord's army.Sometimes,an appearance of God in human form.

As a sign of respect, Joshua took of his sandals.Although Joshua was Israel 's leader,he was still subordinate to God, the absolute Leader.

Awe and respect are the responses due to our holy God.

How can we show respect for God?

By our attitudes and actions.

We should recognise God's power, authority and deep love, and our actions must model our absolute reverence for God.

Respect for God is just as important today as it was in Joshua 's day.

Joshua encounters the "commander of the army of the Lord" before the battle of Jericho, signifying that the battle belongs to God, not man.

The commander, demands worship and declares the ground holy, instructing Joshua to submit to divine strategy rather than his own.

The instruction to remove sandals parallels Moses at the burning bush, highlighting that God’s presence brings holiness .

In conflicts ,believers  should remember that God is present and fights for them, removing their fear.

Move yourself from self-reliance to total dependence on God before the major challenges in your life.

God is with you!

An illustration of God promising to "exalt" Joshua in the eyes of all Israel, Joshua as Moses' successor.

And the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I will begin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel, so they may know that I am with you as I was with Moses.

Joshua 3:7

God promises to  "exalt" Joshua in the eyes of all Israel. Joshua as Moses' successor,  God proves God is with him just as He was with Moses. It highlights that God initiates success, ensures leadership continuity, and works miraculously to build trust.

God chooses to honor Joshua showing that true leadership validation comes from God.

This verse signifies God's faithfulness in providing continuity and strength for a new chapter of leadership, emphasizing that divine presence is key to overcoming obstacles.

Peace be with you!

Screenshot image accompanying a devotional post on John 20:19-23, where the risen Jesus appears to his disciples and says "Peace be with you."

Jesus Appears to His Disciples.

John : 20

19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.

21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

John 20: 19-23

Jesus identified himself with his father. He told the disciples by whose authority he did his work. Then he passed the job to his disciples of spreading the gospel of salvation around the world.

Whatever God has asked you to do, remember that your authority comes from God and Jesus has demonstrated by words and actions how to accomplish the job he has given you.

As the father sent Jesus, Jesus sends His followers, and you.

To do God's work,we need the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit. There is life in the breath of God.

When the man was created,God breathed into him the breath of life. Now through the breath of Jesus, God imparted the eternal and spiritual life.

Jesus gave the disciples the Spirit- guided and Spirit - powered mission ; to preach the good news about Jesus.

Jesus gave them the privilege of telling the believers that their sins have been forgiven because they have accepted Jesus' message.

Find repentance and faith in Jesus.
Your sins will be forgiven, You will be in the lost paradise again, the eternal life with Jesus!

Peace be with you!

God will stay with you!

An illustration of God says to Abram in Genesis 15:1-6 , that God will be always with him.

Genesis 15: 1-6

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision:

“Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.”

2 But Abram said, “O Lord God, what will you give me, for I continue childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?”

3 And Abram said, “Behold, you have given me no offspring, and a member of my household will be my heir.”

4 And behold, the word of the Lord came to him: “This man shall not be your heir; your very own son shall be your heir.”

5 And he brought him outside and said, “Look toward heaven, and number the stars, if you are able to number them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”

6 And he believed the Lord, and he counted it to him as righteousness.

Trust God despite your circumstances.Your faith will be credited as righteousness.

Salvation is through faith.God promised to defend Abram. He promised to be Abram's "very great reward."

When you fear that what lies ahead, remember that God will stay with you through difficult times and that he has promised you great blessings.

God's blessings are beyond our imaginations as the stars in the sky or the grains of sand on the seashore; too numerous to count.

It was Abram's belief in the Lord, that made him right with God.

We too have a right relationship with God by trusting him.

Be confident.God is who he says he is and does what he says he will do.
