The Faith will give you Reward.

 

Matthew 15:21-28

The Faith of a Canaanite Woman.

"21Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.”

23 Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”

24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

25 The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said.

26 He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

27 “Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”

28 Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.

Jesus initially responds with silence, and then tells her His earthly mission is only for the "lost sheep of Israel.

The woman shows incredible humility and faith.

Her great faith leads to the healing of her daughter instantly.  

God’s salvation and grace  are available to anyone who seeks Him.

God's salvation is ultimately for everyone.

Be faithful! The LORD will bless you forever!

Jesus Transforms Your Life.

 

Luke 5:1-11

"5 One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret,the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God. 2 He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. 3 He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.

4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”

5 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”

6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. 7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” 9 For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, 10 and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners.

Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.” 11 So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him."

The Lake of Gennesaret, also known as the Sea of Galilee or the Sea of Tiberias witnesses a great transformation of some fishermen.

Simon was awestruck at this miracle. He realized his own insignificance in comparison to this man's greatness.

Peter knew that Jesus had healed he sick and driven out demons but he was amazed that Jesus cared about his day-to-day routine and understood his needs.

God is interested not only in saving us,but also in helping us in our daily activities.

Like Peter we must recognise our own sinfulness.

We must realise that we can't save ourselves. Jesus is the only one who can help us,we will be ready to leave everything and follow him.

We must leave our past behind and commit our future to him.

Recognise God's Power.

 

Joshua 5:13-15

"Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?”

 “Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, “What message does my Lord have for his servant?”

The commander of the  Lord’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so."

This was an angel of superior rank,the commander of the Lord's army.Sometimes,an appearance of God in human form.

As a sign of respect, Joshua took of his sandals.Although Joshua was Israel 's leader,he was still subordinate to God, the absolute Leader.

Awe and respect are the responses due to our holy God.

How can we show respect for God?

By our attitudes and actions.

We should recognise God's power, authority and deep love, and our actions must model our absolute reverence for God.

Respect for God is just as important today as it was in Joshua 's day.

Joshua encounters the "commander of the army of the Lord" before the battle of Jericho, signifying that the battle belongs to God, not man. 

The commander, demands worship and declares the ground holy, instructing Joshua to submit to divine strategy rather than his own. 

The instruction to remove sandals parallels Moses at the burning bush, highlighting that God’s presence brings holiness .

In conflicts ,believers  should remember that God is present and fights for them, removing their fear.

Move yourself from self-reliance to total dependence on God before the major challenges in your life.

God is with you!

 

And the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I will begin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel, so they may know that I am with you as I was with Moses. 

Joshua 3:7

God promises to  "exalt" Joshua in the eyes of all Israel. Joshua as Moses' successor,  God proves God is with him just as He was with Moses. It highlights that God initiates success, ensures leadership continuity, and works miraculously to build trust.

God chooses to honor Joshua showing that true leadership validation comes from God.

This verse signifies God's faithfulness in providing continuity and strength for a new chapter of leadership, emphasizing that divine presence is key to overcoming obstacles.

Jesus Appears to His Disciples.

John : 20

19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.

21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

John 20: 19-23

Jesus identified himself with his father.He told the disciples by whose authority he did his work.Then he passed the job to his disciples of spreading the gospel of salvation around the world.

Whatever God has asked you to do, remember that your authority comes from God and Jesus has demonstrated by words and actions how to accomplish the job he has given you.

As the father sent Jesus, Jesus sends His followers, and you.

To do God's work,we need the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit.There is life in the breath of God.

When the man was created,God breathed into him the breath of life.Now through the breath of Jesus, God imparted the eternal and spiritual life.

Jesus gave the disciples the Spirit- guided and Spirit - powered mission ; to preach the good news about Jesus.

Jesus gave them the privilege of telling the believers that their sins have been forgiven because they have accepted Jesus' message.

Find repentance and faith in Jesus.
Your sins will be forgiven, You will be in the lost paradise again, the eternal life with Jesus!

God will stay with you!

 

Genesis 15: 1-6

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: 

“Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.”

 2 But Abram said, “O Lord God, what will you give me, for I continue childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” 

3 And Abram said, “Behold, you have given me no offspring, and a member of my household will be my heir.” 

4 And behold, the word of the Lord came to him: “This man shall not be your heir; your very own son shall be your heir.”

 5 And he brought him outside and said, “Look toward heaven, and number the stars, if you are able to number them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” 

6 And he believed the Lord, and he counted it to him as righteousness.

Trust God despite your circumstances.Your faith will be credited as righteousness.

Salvation is through faith.God promised to defend Abram. He promised to be Abram's "very great reward."

When you fear that what lies ahead, remember that God will stay with you through difficult times and that he has promised you great blessings.

God's blessings are beyond our imaginations as the stars in the sky or the grains of sand on the seashore; too numerous to count.

It was Abram's belief in the Lord, that made him right with God.

We too have a right relationship with God by trusting him.

Be confident.God is who he says he is and does what he says he will do.

Jesus will heal you!

When Jesus came down from the mountain side,large crowds followed Him.A man with leprosy came and knelt before Him and said, "Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean."

Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man." I am willing", He said." Be clean!" Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy.

Matthew 8:1-4

Leprosy was a terrifying disease because there was no known cure.In Jesus' day the word leprosy was used for a number of similar diseases, and some forms were contagious.The leper had to stay away from his home and city.

When the leper begged Jesus to heal him, Jesus touched him and healed him.

Sin is also such a disease.And we all have it.

Only Christ's healing touch can miraculously take away our sins.

Be like the leper. We have to submit ourselves to Jesus' authority.

Jesus will save and redeem us from all diseases and sins.

God's Steadfast Companionship.

The LORD said to Joshua:

"No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you".

Joshua 1:5

This verse is a promise of divine presence, strength, and victory.It serves as a reminder of God's steadfast companionship and support during challenging situations.

                 Every job is challenge.Without God, it can be frightening. With God it can be a great adventure. Just as God was with Joshua,he is with us as we face our new challenges.

             We may not conquer nations,but every day we face tough situations, difficult people and temptations.

         God promises, however that he will never abandon us or fail to help us. By asking God to direct us, we can conquer many of our life's challenges.

Indoor Gardening.

 Plants always give us positive energy.Their vibrant colours fill us with new hope and joy.

Indoor gardening is a wonderful way to bring nature and freshness into our homes. Even if we have limited outdoor space, we can grow beautiful plants, herbs, and small vegetables indoors.

Plants such as money plants, snake plants, peace lilies, aloe vera, basil, mint, and spider plants can grow well indoors with proper care. They not only add beauty but can also create a calm and pleasant atmosphere.We feel like we are amidst the nature.

Indoor gardening requires suitable pots, good-quality soil, adequate light, and regular watering. Plants should be placed near windows or other areas where they receive sufficient natural Beautiful pots can be filled with small pebbles to place plants.

Besides beautifying the home, caring for plants can be a relaxing and enjoyable activity. It cherish your good mood and make you energetic.

Indoor gardening allows us to stay connected with nature and makes our living spaces more lively and refreshing.

Bougainvillea Blooming.

 

Bougainvillea – A Colourful Beauty.

Bougainvillea is a beautiful flowering plant known for its vibrant colours and graceful appearance. Native to South America, it is now widely grown in tropical and subtropical regions around the world.It is a beautiful plant with amazing colours.

The plant is a vigorous climber and can brighten walls, fences, gardens, balconies, and entrances. Its colourful parts, often mistaken for flowers, are actually modified leaves called bracts. The tiny true flowers are found in the centre of these colourful bracts.

It can also be grown in pots.

Bougainvillea comes in shades such as pink, purple, red, orange, white, and yellow. It grows well in warm weather and usually needs plenty of sunlight and relatively little water. Timely pruning and fertilizing makes it grow well to thick blooms.

With proper care and occasional pruning, it can bloom profusely and remain attractive for much of the year.

Because of its beauty, hardiness, and easy maintenance, bougainvillea is a favourite choice for gardens and landscaping. It adds a cheerful splash of colour and makes any outdoor space more inviting.It makes our garden a spring.

Do Not Be Afraid!

 

" Do not be afraid, Abram,

I am your shield,

Your very great reward."

Genesis 15:1

Why would Abram be afraid? Perhaps he feared revenge from the kings he had just defeated. Genesis 14:15

He has faced a powerful foe, who had taken his relative Lot as captive.Abram and his trained men went in pursuit of the enemies, attacked them and recovered all the goods and brought back Lot and his possessions.It was in this situation the Lord came to Abram in a vision and gave this promise.

He promised to defend Abram." I am your shield"

He promised to be Abram's "very great reward."

When you fear, what lies ahead, remember that God will stay with you through difficult times and that he has promised you great blessings.

Prophesies About the Birth of JESUS.

 Prophesies about Jesus' birth.

 Isaih 7:14

The virgin birth.

"The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel (God with us)".

Isaih 9:6

His title as "Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God".

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given... and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace". 

Micah 5:2

His birthplace in Bethlehem.

"But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small... out of you will come for me one who will rule over Israel".

Isaiah 11:1, Mentions the Messiah coming from the "stump of Jesse," Jesus' father.

 "a shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit".

His lineage from  Jesse.

Jeremiah 23:5-6,

“The days are coming,” declares the Lord,

    “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch,

a King who will reign wisely

    and do what is just and right in the land.

In his days Judah will be saved

    and Israel will live in safety.

This is the name by which he will be called:

    The Lord Our Righteous Savior.

 a "righteous Branch" from David."

His lineage from David. 

Psalm 72:10-11

 The visit of wise men with gifts.

 "May the kings of Sheba and Seba present him gifts... May all kings bow down to him," fulfilled by the Magi.

 "Out of Egypt I called my son," fulfilled when Jesus' family fled to Egypt."

Hosea 11:1

This verse is a metaphor for God's relationship with Israel, describing His love and guidance for them from their exodus out of Egypt. The verse is also interpreted in the New Testament, particularly in Matthew, as a prophecy fulfilled by Jesus' return from Egypt after his birth. 

Jeremiah 31:15

Foretells the weeping in Ramah, fulfilled by Herod's slaughter of infants in Bethlehem. "

"Thus says the LORD: 'A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping, Rachel weeping for her children; she refuses to be comforted, because they are no more'". 

These prophecies, recorded centuries before Jesus, are seen by Christians as direct foreshadowings of His miraculous birth and life, as detailed in the Gospels.

Be a Peacemaker!

 

Jesus said, "Blessed are the peacemakers, because they will be called sons of God" Matthew 5:9

Are you in trouble with quarrels, hardships,bargains and fights?

Don't worry! Put your trust in Jesus and be a peacemaker.

Because;

Those who actively work to create and restore peace are blessed and will be recognized as God's children. This involves mediating conflict, reconciling relationships, and spreading the gospel, not by compromising on sin, but by being a force for reconciliation and overcoming evil with good.  May God bless you!

The Promise of Protection.

 

“Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you.”

PSALMS 91:7

Although chaos and destruction may be widespread, those who trust in God will be divinely protected from harm, and these disasters will not "come near" them.  "A thousand"  may fall at one's side and "ten thousand" at one's right hand. But the magnitude of surrounding dangers, won't affect you. The promise of protection is even more significant. The  promise of God's special care, even if believers may experience hardship or even die in a general calamity, the verse's promise is that it will not have power over them.

Follow the Redeemer!

Once Jesus and his disciples were leaving Jericho.A large crowd also followed Him.

Two blind men were sitting by the roadside,when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted,

"Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!"

The crowd scolded them to be silent.

But they shouted louder again.

"Lord,Son of David, have mercy on us!"

Jesus stopped and called them,He asked,"what do you want me to do for you?"

They answered, "Lord, we want our sight."

He felt pity and compassion on them,and touched their eyes.

Immediately they received their sight and followed him.( From Matthew 20:29-34)

Has anyone stopped you from seeking the LORd?

Has anyone stopped you from praying or believing  in God?

The material world makes us away from God.

But if we have a strong desire to meet Him, the Lord, He will come to us.

He will listen to our cries, our sorrows and hardships.

These blind beggars could see that Jesus was the long-awaited Messiah.

So don't refuse to open your eyes to the truth.

Jesus is the only way, the truth and life.Follow Him and He will save and redeem you from all your miseries and sins.
