“Nothing Is Constant - Except God.”
We expect something, but happens something else.We plan for the future, we hope for many things, we arrange our days and months as a pre planned calendar.
But our circumstances change, people change, seasons change, health and wealth can change, and even our feelings can change. But God's character, promises, love, and Word remain dependable.
James 4:14 — “Life Is Like a Vapour”
“Whereas you know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.” — James 4:14
James reminds us that human life is temporary and uncertain. Who can predict the future?
We may make plans for tomorrow, but we do not know what tomorrow will bring.
Like a vapour or mist that appears briefly and disappears, our earthly life passes quickly. This should not make us fearful, but rather encourage us to:
Depend on God rather than our own plans.
Use our time wisely.
Avoid taking tomorrow for granted.
Live according to God's will.
Value eternal things more than temporary possessions.
