Daniel 7:13-14 - a vision of "one like a son of man" coming with the clouds of heaven, given everlasting dominion (Jesus applies this title to himself)

Matthew 24:29 - 31 (also Mark 13, Luke 21) - the "Olivet Discourse," where Jesus describes his coming "on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory," after tribulation, gathering the elect
Matthew 24:36 - Jesus says no one knows the day or hour, "not even the Son," only the Father
Matthew 26:64 - at his trial, Jesus tells the Sanhedrin they will see "the Son of Man... coming on the clouds of heaven"
John 14:3 -"I will come back and take you to be with me"

Acts 1:9–11 - at the ascension, angels tell the disciples Jesus "will come back in the same way you have seen him go"
1 Thessalonians 4:16 - 17 - Paul describes the Lord descending with a trumpet call, the dead in Christ rising, believers "caught up" to meet him (basis for "rapture" theology in some traditions)
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 - transformation "in the twinkling of an eye" at the last trumpet
2 Thessalonians 2:1- 12 - warns of a "man of lawlessness" appearing before the day of the Lord
2 Peter 3:10 - "the day of the Lord will come like a thief"
